Use this list to fix audio, video, and screen sharing problems before your WEARC online exam.

Top checks

  • Confirm the right microphone and camera are selected.
  • Restart the browser or video app if it is stuck.
  • Close extra apps that use the camera.
  • Test your internet speed and Wi-Fi signal.

Checklist

Audio, video, and screen share

  • Do not wear a headset or earphones during the exam; use speakers and lower volume if you hear feedback.
  • Disable audio on second device (smartphone) Zoom: Don’t Connect To Audio.
  • Select the correct microphone and camera in Zoom.
  • Restart your computer if the webcam is not detected.
  • Grant and test Zoom permissions for camera, microphone, and screen sharing before the exam session.
  • Select the guest mode in your browser when starting the exam.
  • Join the Zoom session a few minutes early so the VE team can confirm your setup.
