Before you join
- Get your FCC FRN in advance.
- Test your camera, microphone, and screen sharing.

Step by step
Online exam flow
- Choose your session: Use the HamStudy schedule and read the session notes carefully.
- Pay and register: Pay the $15 fee on the session page, then complete the registration form right after payment.
- Prepare your setup: Check camera, microphone, and screen sharing. Gather your FRN, ID, and CSCEs.
- Join early: Log in a few minutes before the start time so the VE team can verify your audio and video.
- Take the exam: Follow VE instructions, complete the element, and ask questions if anything is unclear.
